One interest in these results is to see how fast functions grow as x$\to$$\infty$. This is explored further in the exercises. But important results are:

• The function e$\nolimits^{x}_{}$ increases faster than any power of x.
• x^$\alpha$ increases faster than any power of log x if $\alpha$ > 0.
